Aanchal Munjal, known for her beginnings as a child artist in the film “We Are a Family,” is now making waves as an accomplished actor in the industry. Having commenced her career at a young age, Munjal believes that this early exposure has granted her valuable insights into how the entertainment world operates. She recently decided to take a break from television to focus on film projects and explore opportunities in the realm of OTT platforms.
During a visit to Lucknow, Munjal shared her perspective, stating, “Starting my journey at a tender age provided me with a unique advantage, as I gained a deeper understanding of the industry’s workings. Growing up within this environment, I established connections and recognition, which shielded me from potential pitfalls that newcomers might face. Moreover, I learned how to maintain a steady momentum in my career.”
After appearing in both films and television, Munjal made a conscious decision to step away from the TV medium, affirming, “Television is not on my radar anymore. Following my last show, ‘Ek Boondh Ishq,’ I chose to shift my focus towards films and explore opportunities in the digital space. During my hiatus, I encountered a health issue and felt the need to take time to rediscover myself. Those three years flew by, and it was a well-deserved break. Upon my return, I was fortunate to be involved in exciting projects, such as the horror-comedy web series ‘Pret Boys,’ which started streaming last month and may even have another season.”
Munjal is now eager to make the most of her time and has already lined up promising projects. She discloses, “I am currently shooting for the film ‘Archituchchey’ in Lucknow, and there are a few more scripts awaiting my approval. It has been on my mind to reunite with Karan Johar films, as I started my journey in the industry with them as a child artist. Returning to where it all began holds a special significance for me, alongside other exciting ventures.”
